USA Dance (Shenandoah Valley) Chapter #6022

The Shenandoah Valley Chapter of USA Dance has provided dancing opportunities for Valley dancers for more than three decades. Our members share a common interest in dancing to ballroom, latin and swing music, and encourage everyone to enjoy dancing. Our events are open to everyone: Couples, singles, beginners and experienced dancers are welcome! You do not need to be a member of USA Dance to attend.

Our monthly dances are held at the Keezletown Ruritan Club, 1118 Indian Trail Rd, Keezletown, Va. in the heart of Virginia's beautiful Shenandoah Valley. We dance on wood floors and encourage you to bring your dance shoes. We have snacks and desserts, as well as soft drinks and water, and our monthly dances are alcohol and tobacco free.

Admission to our monthly dances is $12 per person for the general public. USA Dance members are admitted for $8, and our dances are free for youth 19 and under, sponsored by the Bill Stables Youth Dance Fund.

2023 WINTER BALL RECAP
A Wonderful Night of Dancing and Celebration at Brix & Columns Vineyards!

Hello Dance Friends,

On behalf of the Board of Directors of the Shenandoah Valley Chapter of USA Dance, I want to extend a sincere thank you to everyone who participated in making our 2023 Winter Ball a lovely event!  The dance was a wonderful collaboration of the time and talents of everyone involved with helping to plan, coordinate, present and attend the 2023 Winter Ball.

Thank you to all our performing dancers for your time spent in preparing performances and your in-kind generosity to perform at the Winter Ball.  A heart-felt word of appreciation is extended to Lee Santos and Donna Arehart who added abundantly to the enchantment to the evening, as did Steven Babusko with his performance of the Tango.  All the performances at the Ball were stellar and greatly appreciated.

Gratitude is extended to Karen Thomas of Dancing with Karen studio for the many roles played during the event as a pro instructor for the Beginner Waltz Lesson, Mystery Tango Dance Performer and Choreographer of the Performing Arts Group.  Your star always brightly shines.

The sound system and music at the Ball was wonderful and the management of the flow of our program was spot-on and awesome.  Thank you so much David and Connie Taylor for your professionalism and attention to detail!

The hors d’oeuvres and tasty treats from Crossroads Café were fabulous, beautifully presented and very much enjoyed by all.  The planning was perfect as we approached nearly 100 guests.  Thank you, Kasja Champ!

With the crunch of only 2 hours to set up for the Event, a big voice of appreciation goes out to everyone who helped with set up!!  The ballroom looked beautiful, and most especially due to the time and efforts of Greg Riddle and Mark Riddle, Greg’s brother, who planned the layout of the venue, gathered the decorations, and provided the leadership for setting up the venue.  Awesome job done!  We also very much appreciate everyone who stayed after the event to help with clean up.  These efforts are greatly appreciated.

Admissions ran very smoothly managed by Adriel Byrd, Kent Peterson and my friend, Andrea Reefe.   Thank you for giving up your time in the Ballroom to greet and help guests be admitted to the event.

We also want to recognize and extended our appreciation to all those who contributed time and talents to planning, coordinating, and promoting the event including all our Board Members and volunteers, Kajsa Champ, Kevin Castle and Andrea Reefe, with a very special recognition for all the time given by Greg Riddle and Margo Kwolek.

We greatly appreciate the generosity of our Sponsors Brix and Columns Vineyards, Crossroads Café, Kline May Realty, Harrisonburg Homes Team at Kline May Realty, and TeamWorks Realtor Group at Kline May Realty.

And lastly, but very importantly, we extend our sincere gratitude to all the wonderful guests who attended the event and made it glorious!  Events are only as wonderful as the people who come together to present and attend them.  Everyone who prepared, attended, and sponsored the 2023 Winter Ball created a marvelous group of individuals willing to come together to spread the joy of dance helping to make the world a little more joyful.

With gratitude,

Suzanne
