USA Dance (Shenandoah Valley) Chapter #6022

Upcoming Events

We are a group of people from the Shenandoah Valley who share a common interest in dancing. We like to encourage everyone to enjoy dancing. The music at our monthly dances includes ballroom (e.g., Waltz and Fox Trot), as well as Latin and Swing. Our dancers range from those just getting started to dancers who have danced for years. You need not bring a dance partner; we have many dancers who enjoy dancing with different partners.

Our monthly dances are held at various locations in the Harrisonburg-Rockingham area.  We dance on wood floors and encourage you to bring your dance shoes. We have snacks and desserts, as well as soft drinks and water. Our dances are alcohol-free.

Our dances have an admission of $12 ($8 for members, $5 for students), which includes a lesson.   Our dances are free for youth 19 and under, sponsored by the Bill Stables Youth Dance Fund.

Our next monthly chapter dance is Saturday, Oct. 8.  We will be at the Singers Glen Community Center, 9434 Singers Glen Road, Singers Glen, Va. Moriah Hurst will lead a Balboa lesson at 7 PM, followed by dancing to Ballroom, Latin and Swing music from 8-10 PM.  Please join us.

NATIONAL BALLROOM DANCE WEEK

Join us for a free public dance to celebrate National Ballroom Dance Week on Friday, Sept. 23. We'll be in the JCPenney Court of Valley Mall, 1925 East Market Street, Harrisonburg, Va., from 6-8 p.m.  The event features open dancing to Ballroom, Latin and Swing music plus special appearances by this year's Dancing With The Stars of the 'Burg teams. If you've never attended one of our monthly dances, this is a great way to experience what we're all about!.
